Let’s Talk Tariffs & Plushies & How you can help

Hey everyone,
A bit of a different update. I’m not going to tell y’all how awful the tariffs are and all that jazz. We already all know that lol. I want to share resources to help, explain any changes it’ll have in my operation, and again remind y’all that:
1) We will get through this night 🌃, find a local community, go to gaming cafes, find a DnD group, find a group local to you who can support you. Have a safe place that is free from political discussions to unwind.
2) I have used ResistBot for YEARS now to easily email your representatives. It allows you to just text them and it’ll format and send the email to all of your representatives WITHOUT you having to find all their contact information. It does use Gen AI now to help you write if you choose to use that feature which is obnoxious but it’s easy and free to use.

YES your voice matters. 5 republicans have already broken rank to vote against tariffs. Tariffs are not a partisan issue. Put pressure on your Congress people. This topic can sway them.
3) I will only share minimal political things and information when I think it’s relevant. Otherwise I want my page and place to be a safe place for people to unwind. Away from the chaos of the world.
—————— My operation
1) In regard to plushies - the tariff rate will likely be 54% whichll add an approximate $2160 out of pocket I will need to pay. This is in addition to the $280 out of pocket I’m paying to self fund the rest of the starry kitsune (shoutout to the extra person who preordered one <3) If you wanted a starry kitsune or any of the plushies, any help will go a long way. I made a promise to yall that these will be funded and made and I will hold true to that promise. Fortunately, because of y’all’s support, I do have the wiggle room to handle this even if it’s tight. If you live abroad remember you can use proxy forwarding services to get the plushies if you really want them <3
I will not be raising the price of plushies. They’ll stay $50. However, I may not restock these. As each time I do I’ll be eating a $540 tariff charge upfront + the $1300 to produce them with no guarantee of sales.
2) In regard to pins - All the pintopia pins will arrive before the tariff deadline. The tariff rate on pins is higher than plushies and I think it’s 64% or 74%. However, I don’t believe mold fees and prototyping fees and the rest should count into that. And mold fees are the most expensive part of a pin. I should… hopefully… just be able to absorb the costs of pins for most pins. The only exceptions may be the larger 3” pins and the helluva portrait pins. The helluva portrait pins may have to go from $18 to $20 as they’re technically 2 pins (because the gem has a custom mold) and it may cost me $2.90 in tariff fees per pin.
Anyways! That’s that! I just wanted to thank you all for all the support over the past year. The only reason I’m able to do this and weather this is because of y’all’s overwhelming support and grace. Things may change and the tariff situation may be canceled or changed again.
Remember for those of us in America to find a community. Go to your local gaming cafes game nights, join a DnD group. Find a community outside of politics to support you.
